I was driving down Ogden canyon when I heard on the radio…”Extreme skier dies while preforming a stunt near Solitude and Brighton Ski areas” Then they cut to a quick interview with a photographer I have worked with before, Steve Lloyd where he described what happened….still they never mentioned who died. All I could think was I really hoped that it was not someone that I knew. Within minutes I received a text from a friend that I will never forget. “Did you hear about Billy Poole” I frantically fired back a response, “Please tell me it was not Billy who died” She replied back….It was him. I can’t stop thinking about him–I was just with him the weekend before last drinking “twiskey’s” (bushmills whiskey on the rocks, with a shot of tequilla) at the Jackalope with him. We were in the midst of bringing him onboard as an athlete with Backcountry.com. What a stellar guy he was….such a stand up individual! You will be sorely missed my friend.

Now these really were the days- No worries about being to work on time, gas and beer were cheap, all your friends were within stumbling distance from your pad, no lift lines, and just look at all that snow.
Pop, crack, snap….The Ting Tings are the goods.
About to head to Wendover- gonna gonna bring it to its knees.
