I was recently turned on to the Maldives from a buddy of mine at work. This nine piece band out of Seattle really are a “country” band, but labeling any band a country band really puts them in a genre with a whole bunch of no talent ass ponies. I’d really say that they fall more into the “alt country” category, even though that title seems to be placed on any country band that has more than three tattoos. Any how, I am not a music critic, just know good music when I hear it- so, I’ll let you be the judge. Here is a little sample of there music and a little video clip of them on the road.
